Are you accepting patients from Maryland & DC?
Dr. Zaidi is licensed to see patients in the states of Virginia and Maryland.
Do you take medical insurance?
We are in-network for Aetna, Cigna, United Health Group, Anthem and CareFirst and can also provide a superbill for out-of-network clients and help with reimbursement. We are accepting only those patients from these insurance companies that have commercial insurance plans (non-Medicaid).
Do you accept Medicaid patients?
We don't accept Medicaid patients (including Anthem Health Keepers Plus and any other Medicaid Plan offered by Aetna, Cigna, United Health Group, Anthem and CareFirst).
How soon can I get an appointment?
Most of the new patients are seen within 1-2 weeks’ time frame.
Do you see patients in person?
Yes, both in-person and televisits are offered depending on the patients need.
What age patients do you see?
Dr. Zaidi has clinical training and experience of working with children, adolescents, and adult patients. She sees patients of ages 5 – 60 years.
What is the process for setting up an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please call the office at 703-991-0564 and leave your first and last name, the reason for your call, and the phone number where we can reach you. Our office will return your call to answer your questions and can further guide you to set up an appointment, if you are interested.
Do you treat patients with medication, talk therapy, or both?
There are many tools like medication management and talk therapy that can be helpful in improving patients' mental health and I offer both services to my patients. My medication management appointments have various therapeutic elements; in addition to medications, I employ psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and healthy lifestyle suggestions. I provide dedicated individual and family psychotherapy services as well.
Do you coordinate care with my therapist or other health care providers?
To provide you with high-quality care, I coordinate with your care team including your therapists, doctors, school system, or other health care providers with your approval.
What are the fees for your services?

What should I do in case of an emergency or crisis situation?
If you are having a medical or psychiatric emergency, feel suicidal/have thoughts of hurting yourself, or are homicidal/have thoughts of hurting someone else, you should call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room. If you want to speak with a crisis counselor, you can call or text the National Suicide/Crisis Hotline at 988, which is a free service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the purpose of supporting people in crises or distress. Our office does not provide emergency services, please do not call, or leave a message for your psychiatrist in emergency or crisis situations.
